The
Somatic

Toolkit

A library of ten somatic guided practices — each one mapped to a specific emotion to guide you through what to do when a feeling arises in your body.

Your body already knows what to do.
Now you have the tools to listen.

Ten audio practices designed to teach you exactly what to do when a feeling takes over your body.

How to actually be with them. Move through them. Process them in real time, in your body, in the moment they arrive.

Each practice is rooted in somatic psychotherapy — a body-based approach to nervous system regulation, designed to meet you where you’re at.

This is for you if…

01

You feel flooded by your emotions or completely cut off from them but either way, you don't know what to do in the moment.

02

You know something lives in your body but you just haven't had anyone show you how to work with it.

03

You're ready to stop treating your body like a problem to solve and let it show you the way through.

04

You want a concrete practice – something to return to when a feeling arrives and you don't know what to do with it.

05

You feel great in your 1:1 sessions but struggle to access these tools on your own when it actually matters.

What can you expect?

01

You come to the toolkit and find the practice that matches
what's alive in you right now.

02

You're met with a grounded, science-informed explanation of what's happening in your body.

03

You're guided through a somatic practice designed specifically for that emotional state to help you move through it.

04

You close the practice feeling more resourced, capable and less at the mercy of your emotions.

05

You stop fearing your emotions and start trusting that you know what to do when they arrive.

Somatic work doesn't end when the audio does. What happens after, when something has been stirred into visibility and you're holding the residue of it, is where integration actually begins.

The Companion Guide is designed for that moment. For each emotion in the Toolkit, you'll find a short piece of psychoeducation recapping what was happening in your body and what the emotion was trying to do for you, followed by reflection questions to help you go a little deeper.

Take a peak at the practices

01

anxiety (low)

This practice helps you understand that anxiety is mobilised energy that never got to go anywhere and gives it somewhere to move.

02

anxiety (high)

For when the system has tipped outside the window of tolerance. This practice uses your breath, gaze, and the pressure of your own body to find your way back into the window.

03

shame

For the part of you that learned to make itself small. This practice meets it with warmth rather than resistance, and offers the body a different possibility than disappearing.

04

sadness

Sadness is a wave and it was always designed to move through. This practice offers the breath, the hand, and the permission to stay with the wave long enough for it to do what it was always trying to do.

05

anger

This practice helps the energy of anger complete its arc through the body, so what remains is clarity rather than heat.

06

numbness

Numbness is the nervous system's most radical act of self-protection: the body going quiet because it has carried too much for too long. This practice offers the body the conditions in which sensation can return in its own time.

07

loneliness

This practice offers the felt sense of accompaniment through self holding, an imagined circle of safety, and the kind of presence that loneliness has perhaps never been offered before.

08

overwhelm

Overwhelm pulls you out of the body and into the head where the spinning only intensifies. This practice interrupts the spiral by bringing you back into the present moment through your senses, your back body, and a single question: what is one thing?

09

insecurity

Insecurity lives in the body as shrinking and the body's shrinking deepens the mind's doubt. This practice gives the body a different experience: feet on the ground, spine long, presence filling the room.

10

fear

This practice moves you from being inside the fear to being alongside it curious about it, able to feel it without being consumed by it.

FAQ

Do I need experience with somatics or nervous system work?

Not at all. The toolkit includes a primer that explains the foundations, and every practice is designed to be accessible wherever you're starting from.

Will this work alongside my therapy sessions?

Absolutely! Most therapists welcome their clients having practical tools to use between sessions which is exactly what this toolkit is designed for. It's worth mentioning to your therapist that you're using it so you can integrate what comes up.

Is this therapy?

No and it's important to be clear on that. This is an educational and self-practice resource, not a substitute for therapeutic support. If you're working through significant trauma, please do so alongside a qualified professional.

Can I get a refund?

As this is a digital product that you get immediate access to there are no refunds.

“For someone who learned to dissociate from my body and my feelings, the somatic toolkit has been so helpful in learning to actually feel my feelings and not just think them through. Rachel's voice has a way of making you feel held and not alone, both in the moment and in the feelings that arise. If you're trying to work your way through emotions you don't know how to process, this is a must listen.”

Rachel Pfeiffer

I am a psychotherapist, yoga teacher, breathworker, and co-director of The Embodied Mind Collective. But before any of that, I'm a human who has spent a long time learning how to come back to herself.

I came to this work the way a lot of people do. Not just through training, but through necessity. Through knowing what it's like to feel stuck inside an experience with no idea what to do with it. Through discovering, slowly and sometimes painfully, that the body isn't the obstacle. It's the way through.

I studied Philosophy and Psychology as an undergraduate before completing a Master of Psychotherapy. Since then I've continued that study through Internal Family Systems, Gestalt therapy and Somatic Experiencing.

Alongside the therapy work, I've been practising yoga for over fifteen years and teaching for more than a decade, running retreats and workshops both in Australia and internationally. The movement practice and the clinical work have always informed each other.

Both are, at their core, about the same thing: learning to inhabit yourself more fully.

There is more wisdom in your body than in your deepest philosophy.
